Obituary

Derrick Ash, age 66, of Sedgewickville, MO passed away, on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on February 26, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, son of Cletus Wilburn and Betty Abbott Ash. He and Deborah Vernetti were united in marriage and she passed away on August 12, 2017.

Derrick was a retired plumber, a member of the Sargent’s Chapel Lutheran Church and served his country proudly in the United States Army for fifteen years.

Survivors include his son Doug and daughter in law Tina Ash of Sunrise Beach, MO, mother Betty Tocco of Robinsonville, Mississippi, brothers Clifton Ash of Sedgewickville, MO, Danny Ash of Columbia, Illinois, sisters Redonna Gosnell of O’Fallon, MO, Diana Matye of St. Charles, MO, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father Cletus.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Sargent’s Chapel Cemetery near Sedgewickville, MO.
