Obituary

Eddie R Yamnitz Sr., age 76, of Patton, MO passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born February 25, 1945 in Patton, Missouri, son of Virgle and Mattie Wilma Presnell Yamnitz. He and Diana Taylor were united in marriage on July 27, 1963.

Eddie was baptized as a child and was confirmed on December 31, 1967 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was still a member. He worked as an auto mechanic and heavy equipment mechanic and welder for local #513. He was a member of the Patton Saddle Club, Lions Club, the NRA, Castor River Coon Hunters.

He is survived by his wife Diana of the home, children Tamera (James) Bohnert of Jackson, MO, Jeffrey (Melissa) Yamnitz, Eddie (Kelly) Yamnitz Jr of Patton, MO, Gregory (Amy) Yamnitz of Perryville, MO, fourteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Duell Yamnitz, sister Verla Murray and nephew Jerramy Yamnitz.

In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Reagan’s Chapel Cemetery Fund or to the Lions Club Memorial Fund.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO, then on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at St. Paul Lutheran Church 223 W. Adams Street Jackson, MO. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM at the church with Pastor Jason Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Reagans Chapel Cemetery near Patton, MO.
