Obituary

Jerry L. Garland, age 76 of Marble Hill, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born July 14, 1944 near Patton, MO; son of Ransom J. "Man" and Wilma Maedean Cook Garland. He and Faye Fulbright were united in marriage on January 15, 1966 at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Patton School, worked for Liley Monument Company for over 25 years as a monument setter and grave digger, a member and deacon of the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife Faye, two sons, Michael L. (James Mitchell) Garland of St. Louis, Rev. Jeff (Candi) Garland of Marble Hill, brother Bill R. (Gail) Garland of Marble Hill, sisters, Velda (Larry) Doggett of Sedgewickville, Judy (Ken) Liley of Marble Hill; two grandchildren Bryant and Isaac Garland and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Betty Schmitt and Lisa Garland and brother-in-law Wayne Schmitt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Church with the Rev. Scott Cook, Rev. Bryant Garland and Rev. Kyle Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
