Obituary

Sandra Lynn Faulkner age 57 of Dexter, MO, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born March 21, 1963 in Poplar Bluff, MO, daughter of Roy and Betty Mae Brinkley Faulkner.

Sandra prided herself on her past work at The Dean B Ellis Library in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Her great escape was into the world of books and spending the evenings with her love, Sam. She enjoyed watching television and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Memphis, Grizzlies. She loved animals and cared for her beloved pets dearly. Passionate for art, Sandra was very creative and liked to craft and crochet to express herself. She spent much of her free time on public forums advocating for women and Children, as well as helping others through support groups for mental illness and domestic abuse. Sandra made a huge impact on the lives of others and leaves behind many friends, as well as life long friends, Lynette Cantrell and Tina West.

Survivors include; her spouse Sam Sayre of Dexter, Two sons Eric (Megan) Cornwell of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Caleb Cornwell of Jonesboro, Arkansas, father Roy Faulkner of Piedmont, MO brothers Andrew Faulkner of Poplar Bluff, MO, Robert Faulkner of Piedmont, MO, Aaron Faulkner of Piedmont, MO, several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Sandra is "the light of Nanas life" grand-daughter Piper Leigh Cornwell.


She was proceeded in death by her mother Betty Mae Faulkner.

There will be a memorial service at a later date. For lasting memorials, the family asks consideration be given to your local humane society. Liley Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
